Documentary charting the country music superstar's journey, from growing up in poverty in Tennessee in the Appalachian Mountains to reaching the very top in the world of entertainment. Featured in the programme are the stories behind many of Dolly's biggest hit songs, including how she came to write I Will Always Love You, 9 to 5, Jolene and Coat of Many Colors, as well as a look at her movie career with films such as Steel Magnolias and The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas.
