Documentary series following life at the Skeldale Veterinary Centre in Thirsk. Julian performs emergency surgery on Marlo, Skeldale student vet Molly's pet cat, who appears to have been shot in the head. Later, he meets an exotic bird of prey, and has the difficult job of giving a distraught owner the choice of whether to save his beloved dog Digz's life or limb. Meanwhile, Peter tends Floss the sheepdog who was run over by a tractor, and a tortoise that has been bitten.
