Modern-day remake of the classic musical about a young orphan who is taken in by a high-flying billionaire. Disillusioned with her nasty foster mother, Annie accidentally crosses paths with one of New York City's most powerful people in the form of mayoral candidate Will Stacks. Whilst Will and his team initially use the child as a cynical ploy to win votes, they are soon won over by her irrepressible nature and boundless charm.
