Italy and Spain met in the first last-four match of Euro 2020, with Federico Chiesa giving Italy the lead after an hour, only for Alvaro Morata to equalise 20 minutes later. There were no further goals in the match, meaning it was decided by penalties, with Italy progressing despite missing the opening spot kick after Dani Olmo and Alvaro Morata failed to score, allowing Jorginho to send the Azzurri through.
